Halloweek



Monday 10-28
  • Cavalier Daily is giving out halloween treats at Clemons from 8-9 pm
  • Fourth Year? Bagel Breakfast from 8:30-11:30 am in Pav 5 -- Bodo's bagels, coffee, OJ and hot chocolate  (First 1000 students who sign the  "Remember the Last Home Game" pledge will receive a free stadium cup and souvenir sunglasses
Tuesday 10-29
  • First and Main Open House at Old Met -- free munchies and tours of the now complete block of shops on First and Main.  11 am - 2 pm
Wednesday 10-30
Thursday 10-31 **HAPPY HALLOWEEN**
  • Trick or Treating on the Lawn!!! 4-6 pm
  • Come to Chipotle in a costume and get a "boo-rito" for $3 from 4 pm - close. 
  • Krispy Kreme will give you a FREE doughnut if you show up in costume (thx for not up-ing the prices unlike our friends at chipotle) 
Friday 11-1
  • Third year? Bodos Bagels on South Lawn from 11 am - 1pm (and free donoughts, coffee, cider tasting, pumpkin carving, and prizes!)
  • Relay For Life's Cookout for the Cure at Grand Marc - lots of free food so close to apartments in honor of Relay's hard work! 1-4 pm
  • Dia de los Muertos Fiesta a Casa Bolivar 4-6pm - free food and face/skull painting
  • Sweets for Shelley from 3-5 pm; $15 to make a team, but free to attend/taste test. In honor of a very beloved angel
  • Orange Passport Game: Men's Soccer v North Carolina at 7pm.  Pizza and drinks.  Get your free Hoo Crew shirt if you haven't yet!
  • First Fridays in the Downtown Mall
Saturday 11-2
  • Football Game v Clemson at 3:30.  Get yer tailgate on and keep an eye on the fourth years
  • Second year? Canes and Canines TAILgate in the amphitheater at 1pm.  Cane's Chicken, Carter's Mountain Cider, and cute canines -- what better alliteration and event could you ask for?

  • Even though National Coffee Day was a few weeks ago, this is International Coffee Day! Get free coffee from 11am-2pm in 216 Minor Hall (Study Abroad Library) with students who have studied abroad and learn more about the world!
  • Come to the Nursing School Honor mock trial to see how real Honor trials work and ask any questions! Free pizza will be provided! 6:30-8pm in McLeod Auditorium
  • MSC resident?  Carve free pumpkins and eat food from 4-6:30
  • Fresh Food Company Oktober-Fest Themed Dinner at Newcomb 
Thursday 10-24
  • Free Bodos, coffee and Honor giveaways outside of Lawn room 37 West in the morning
  • SLACKTOBERFEST - Slack off with refreshments, apples, cider, s'mores and slacklining outside of Lawn Rooms 36 and 36 East at 4pm.
  • Madison House Volunteer? Fall Social from 3-4:30.  Fall food & drinks provided.

Friday 10-25

Saturday 10-26
  • Homecomings Football Game against Georgia Tech at 12:30.  I'm all for scouring for friend chicken at tailgates, but also... 
  • Pancakes for Parkinson's from 9 am - 2pm.  Not exactly free, donation based, but such a great cause for delicious pancakes!

  • MY HONOR STORY CONTEST- Write a blurb about your experience with Honor on a piece of paper and submit a photo of yourself with it to myhonorstory@gmail.com by Thursday Oct 24 at midnight. 20 entries will be chosen to receive a $5 Starbucks gift card + an Honor t-shirt, and 10 entries will receive an Honor t-shirt. They will be tabling outside of Newcomb on Monday-Tuesday and the Lawn on Wednesday-Thursday from 2-4pm.

  • Mental Wellness Screening Day from 10-3 in Newcomb.  Pizza along with your diagnosis
  • Hoo's Resourceful (Resource Fair) in front of Ohill at 5 pm along with hot cider and hot chocolate
  • SustainaCider - Free cider and apples in Garden V (5) from 5:30-7
  • Hoo Crew Orange Passport Game: Women's Soccer v Notre Dame @ 7 pm. Free pizza and drinks like always
Friday 10-11
  • Go home and eat food that your mother has cooked for you
    • Stop at 7/11 on Ivy or Barracks and get a free small slurpee first
