Welcome Back, and Yes, We're Still on the Hunt


Monday 8/26:
  • Fall Activity Fair in the Amphitheater & South Lawn from 11-2 -- promotional food is bound to be at some of the booths
  • Football Welcome Back Tailgate w/ Coach London and the team @ McCue Practice Fields across from JPJ.  They'll have free Domino's and Pepsi as well as raffle prizes
  • Free screening of The Internship supplemented with drinks in McCormick Quad at 9
Tuesday 8/27:
  • Missed Gooey Brownie this summer? $5 Pile it High @ Arch's continues

Well the summer is predictably slow, but tomorrow is National Donut Day


Friday 6/7:

  • It's apparently National Donut Day, which means that Dunkin' Donuts and Krispie Kreme will be giving away free donuts! (Note: at Dunkin', you have to buy a drink to get the donut)
Other deals:
  • You can get an ice cream cone at Burger King for only 50 cents, through August 4.
  • Need to send a Father's Day card? You can get one for free off Living Social, only pay for postage at Treat.com. (I just ordered mine, super easy to claim)

And so my time at UVA comes to a close.

Well, I will be graduating this year, and unfortunately that means that this blog will be coming to an end. I wish you all luck on your free food adventures!

And don't you worry, I'll be sure to update this post as the numerous study breaks come to fruition over the next two weeks. Happy studying!

  • In any Environmental Science classes? College Council will be hosting a make-your-own-trail-mix study break with the Environmental Science TAs in Clark 102 from 8:30-9:15.
  • Second year? SYC is hosting a free exercise class at the AFC at 7:00.
Tuesday 4/30:
Wednesday 5/1:
  • Stop by Alumni Hall for Bagels and Blue Books from 10:00-1:00.
Friday 5/3:
  • Head downtown for First Fridays and hit some galleries and eat some snacks (you know the drill). It will be held from 5-9.
Sunday 5/5:
  • UPC will be having an Inner Child Study Break, PBJ bar included, in Clemons 407 from 7:30-9:30.

  • UPC will be hosting a Free Picnic in the Amphitheater from 4:00-7:00. Free snacks will be provided.
Thursday 4/25:
  • Stop by the APAHM Closing Ceremony, held at 6:00 in Nau 101. Free Indian food will be provided after the speaker.
Friday 4/26:
  • Head over to Arts Grounds for Final Fridays, held from 5:30-7:30. Wine and cheese will not be far.

  • Second Year? SYC will be hosting a 'Sweet Treat Social' on the Newcomb Patio at 4:30.
  • In the spirit of tax day, get free curly fries at Arby's with this coupon.
Tuesday 4/16:
  • Check out the Breakfast Club held at the UVA Art Museum at 11:00, free bagels will be provided. RSVP here.
  • ASU will be hosting the lecture 'Gangnam Style and Globalization' at 6:30 in Monroe 124. "Food will be served at the event".
  • TYC will be hosting their last major meals for Econ and Math majors at Alumni Hall from 6-8.
Wednesday 4/17:
  • Stop by the Amphitheater between 1:30-3:30 for the International Desserts Festival, hosted by the Global Student Council.
Thursday 4/18:
  • Second Year? I'm not sure if this is full yet, but SYC will be hosting a cooking class at the International Center at 5:00-7:00, look into it here.
Friday 4/19:
  • I haven't mentioned this in a while, but don't forget that you can get a free slurpee at 7-11 every Friday with this coupon.
Saturday 4/20:
  • Springfest, enough said.
  • The Organization of African Students will be hosting Africa Day in Newcomb Ballroom from 6:00-8:00, free African food will be provided after a showcase of African culture.
Sunday 4/21:
  • Second Year? Grab some free Bodo's, courtesy of SYC, at the Amphitheater between 12:30-3:00.

Monday 4/8:
  • Head to Dawson's Row Courtyard at 7:30 for the 'Global Photo Exhibition' to enjoy some free food, music, and photographs (obviously). This event is part of Humanities Week, be sure to check out their other events.
Tuesay 4/9:
  • Free Cone Day at Ben and Jerry's is today!
  • Consider attending Virginia21 Higher Education Panel, held in Newcomb Ballroom from 2:00-3:30. Free lunch provided, RSVP here.
  • As part of Islam Awareness Month, the Muslim Students Association will be hosting a fast-breaking dinner at 7:00 in Ern Commons for those who pledge to fast. You can pledge here.
Wednesday 4/10:
  • Have an alumni membership (which is free, btw)?  Grab a free bagel above the ampitheater (by Garrett Hall) between 10:00-noon.
  • Fourth year? Stop by Alumni Hal for a free wine tasting, held from 7:00-9:00. Obviously, don't forget your ID.
  • SMM and Theta Nu Xi will be hosting an event on nutrition at 7:00 in Clark 102. Free pizza and drinks will be provided.
Thursday 4/11:
  • Another alumni freebie: get free Ben and Jerry's at Alumni Hall between 1:00-3:00.
Friday 4/12:
  • Don't miss out on the Second Annual International Night, held in the Amphitheater from 4:00-6:00. From past experiences, there should be quite a few free food samples.
Saturday 4/13:
  • The Japan Club will be hosting Japan Day from 1:00-3:00 at the IRC. A variety of free Japanese food will be provided.

  • Supposedly you can get free coffee at McDonalds from 4/8-4/12. No purchase or coupon is necessary.
  • It's Wellness Week! There will be free classes at the AFC on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Second year? Sign up for the last Dinner Series, held on 4/17 at 6:15 in Alumni Hall.
