Homecomings Week



Monday 10-20

Tuesday 10-21
  • Hoo Crew Socctoberfest - Men's Soccer vs. Radford at 7:00 pm at Klockner Stadium.  Free pizza and drinks
  • Voices from the Front Lines, an insider perspective on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, in Monroe 124 at 6:30 pm.  Free pizza provided
  • BSA: Gordon Parks Photography Exhibit at Franklin Museum at 6 pm, free food and entry
  • Second Year Dinner Series (one of the best events!) tonight at Alumni Hall from 6:30-8:45 pm

Wednesday 10-22
  • O Hill Spirit Dinner (perhaps cool prizes?) for Homecomings
  • Hoo Crew Trivia Night at Boylan Heights at 8 pm
  • BSA: "The State of Black Politics in Our Contemporary Moment" Panel at Batten at 6 pm, free food and entry

Thursday 10-23
  • Hoos Under the Lights - Free food (The Pie Guy, Sweet Haus...), live music (two of my favorites - Kendall Street Company and Caitlin Bailey & Savannah Lane), and games at Scott Stadium from 7 - 9 pm.  This is a must attend!
  • Fourth year? Hoos Homecoming at Crozet Buddhist Biker Bar w/ free pizza, cornhole, and our football team from 3-5 pm
  • Fourth year? Cocktails & Conversation (panel and networking, followed by free refreshments from Fig, beer, and wine) at Alumni Hall at 5:30 pm. 
  • Engineer?  Eschool Trivia Night at Biltmore from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.  Free food 
  • Madison House Volunteer? Fall Social/Study Break from 3-4:30 pm
  • Stud Co's Student Disability Acceptance Week: Screening of "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" in Nau 101 at 7 pm.  Free pizza.
  • BSA: Special Keynote Lecture by Dr. Kelley at Batten at 7 pm, free food and entry

Friday 10-24 *~Orange and Blue Spirit Day~*
  • Hoo Crew Socctoberfest - Men's Soccer vs. Wake Forest at 6:30 pm at Klockner Stadium. Free pizza and drinks
  • Miller Center's 6th Annual Secrets & Traditions in the Miller Center from 3:30 - 6:00 pm. Free pizza and Splendora's Gelato
  • Second Year?  Free Screening of Guardians of the Galaxy in Newcomb Theater at 7pm.  Free snacks and candy
  • Look Hoos Returning in Newcomb Ballroom at 5 pm.  Reserve your tickets now.
  • BSA: Tribute to Our Stars Poetry Slam in Ern Commons at 9 pm, free food and entry
  • International Student? Lorna IC has pumpkin carving at 4:30 - 6:30 pm

Saturday 10-25

  • Show your ~UVA Spirit~ this week! 
  • Be thinking of Halloween costumes*...it's right around the corner (*think of how you can incorporate your love of food)
